STATE POLICE STATEMENT
ON SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS
RELATED TO SCHOOL THREAT
AUGUST 25, 2019
The Arkansas State Police has been in close contact in recent days with the Federal Bureau of Investigation attemping to identify the source of an alleged threat of gun violence at an undisclosed Arkansas school reportedly planned for later this week.
At this time no corroborating evidence or useful details have been uncovered in regard to the information provided to the FBI.
In the event more specific or credible information is received; it will be shared with local law enforcement offices, state and local school officials, as well as Arkansas citizens.
The Arkansas State Police asks that if anyone has information about a threat of violence whether the site of the threat may be a school or other public place, please contact your nearest Arkansas State Police Office or local law enforcement agency. Concord Public Schools would like address information currently circulating on social media.
If you are not currently aware of what is circulating here is a post from the Cleburne County Sherif Chris Brown and our surrounding Chiefs of Police.
Attention Cleburne County residents and parents:
This post is to address information that has currently been circulating on social media.
On August 20, the Little Rock FBI office issued a general awareness statement about information they received relating to possible school shootings in Arkansas and Kentucky.
Although the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, Heber Springs Police Department, Quitman Police Department, Conccord Police Department, and Greers Ferry Police Departments are not aware of any specific threats to any school in Cleburne County, please rest assured that we are taking this information seriously.
We will be working with the schools through this next week and will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of the students and staff members.

I can truly say we had an amazing first week of school and what a blessing it was to see the smiles on our students faces and the excitement in our staff to have them all back!! We want to say thank you to our awesome community for sending us your most precious gift in your child. We will continue to evaluate ourselves and strive with all we have in us to be the very best we can to reach the educational needs of every single child and our best to reach every child where they are and make their educational experience a blessing. It’s a great day to be a Pirate!! We have a lot of great things happening at CES and CHS this school year!! I hope everyone has a restful and safe weekend!!

What an amazing first day of school. Thank you to everyone for all you’ve done to make this a great day. We even made a lunch adjustment and feed all our little ones at the same time and gave them 10 extra minutes for lunch!!


Day 1 is here and we are so excited to see all our amazing students and look forward to the great accomplishments ahead of them!! School year ‘19-‘20 has begun.

Thankful to the Concord PTO and everyone else that made our open house and back to school bash a huge success!! We can’t wait until Wednesday when all our students are back on campus for another great year!





Major security upgrades for our campus have begun to create a more safe and secure learning environment for all.
